We are incredibly lucky to have two of the foremost experts in Hernia Surgery in the world attend ANZHernia2024. Prof Eric Pauli is both an accomplished eminent Hernia Surgeon and surgical endoscopist who has vast experience in all aspects of Hernia Surgery and in the endoscopic management of surgical disasters. He developed the Pauli parastomal hernia repair. A/Prof Conrad Ballecer has almost single handedly transformed the world of hernia surgery into the realm of Robotic Surgery. As an early adopter of the Da Vinci platform he has developed many of the robotic surgical techniques that are used throughout the world to perform routine and complex hernia surgery. He has tirelessly shared those skills throughout the world. Both of these world renowned experts are known to be generous, approachable and good humoured and love to share their knowledge and skills and meet new colleagues. We are so grateful that they have been able to give up time in their busy schedules and come to Brisbane for ANZHernia2024.
